Module Introduction: Rules of Madd (Prolongation)

This module focuses on developing students' understanding and application of the rules of Madd (prolongation) in Quran recitation. Learners will explore the two main categories of Madd: natural Madd (Madd Tabee’i) and secondary Madd (Madd Far’i), which includes Madd Muttasil, Madd Munfasil, Madd al Silah (sughrah&kubrah), Madd Lazim, and Madd 'Arid Lil-Sukoon.

Through examples from the Quran, guided practice, and assessment activities, students will learn how to recognize and apply each type of Madd correctly, according to its required length.

The module also emphasizes the ability to identify these rules as they appear in the Mushaf, helping students connect theoretical knowledge with practical reading skills.
